San Benedetto DT

An important city on the Marche Riviera, San Benedetto del Tronto is one of the principal holiday locations of the Adriatic Midlands, which still boasts a very active fishing industry. It has a long beach of fine white sand.

The seafront is rich with vegetation, mainly palm trees, which even grow on the beach. It is for this reason that San Benedetto is also known as the Riviera delle Palme.

Ascoli Piceno

Ascoli Piceno lies a few kilometres from the Adriatic coast, immersed in a landscape of lush green hillsides, and surrounded by the Sibillini Mountains. This city, rich in history and culture, boasts very ancient origins since founded by the Piceni.The city is also famous for its local culinary specialty, Ascolana olives (large green olives stuffed with meet, breaded, and fried).
